La finalidad de la investigación actual es determinar la relación entre la motivación académica y la autoestima de los estudiantes del 3er año de secundaria de la I.E Almirante Miguel Grau Seminario de la provincia de Ilo, en el año 2023, la población está constituida por 134 estudiantes, entre los 14 y 15 años de edad, el 58.2% son mujeres y 41.8% son varones. Se utilizaron los siguientes cuestionarios la Escala de Motivación Académica AMS-HS 28 y el Inventario de Autoestima de Stanley Coopersmith (SEI) versión escolar. The purpose is to know if the variables academic motivation and self-esteem of the students present a relationship in the high school students of the I.E Almirante Miguel Grau Seminario of the province of Ilo, the study was carried out with 134 students, 78 women and 56 men, among 14 and 15 years old. The AMS-HS 28 Academic Motivation Scale and the Stanley Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory (SEI) school version questionnaires were used, the statistical inference used is Kendal's Tau C.
