El objetivo del estudio fue evaluar la efectividad de la gestión de tiempos en el desarrollo de los proyectos de investigación de la Facultad de Medicina Humana de la Universidad de San Martín de Porres entre el 2015 y 2016. Para ello se analizaron 21 proyectos de investigación tomando en cuenta el cumplimiento de cronograma, cantidad de veces de reformulación de presupuesto, agilidad de los procesos administrativos, tipo de financiamiento y centro de investigación de donde procedieron. Se halló que los proyectos ejecutados en esas fechas solo correspondieron a tres de los ocho centros vigentes, siendo 16 (76,19%) con financiamiento propio y 5 (23,81%) cofinanciados. Dear Editor: We have read with great interest the article by Cornelio Gonzales Torres, published in volume 2025-2 of Revista Horizonte Médico (1), which analyzes the importance of using of artificial intelligence (AI) by researchers in the preparation of scientific papers—while not neglecting the application of ethical and moral values—in an environment where these tools are growing exponentially, now exceeding 24,000 AI systems. The author also emphasizes the need for professionals from various fields to foster critical thinking both for regarding their use and in recognizing the advantages and disadvantages of their application in scientific output.
