The importance of the management of projects is reflected in the necessity that the developed emerging countries have in the XXI century in its effective application , with which one can plan the future, elaborating its development plans to médium term and in turn ‘creating its future‘, executing its plans by means of programs through the Project Management. The importance of elaborating and executing investment projects in both public and private context, in any part of the world is of obligatory character if we don‘t want to stay blocked. For this reason we expose the fundamental role of the management of project in the development of the countries, especially in our country whose economic growth is so complicated in these times of globalization.

La importancia de la gerencia de proyectos se ve reflejada en la necesidad que tienen los países desarrollados y los emergentes, de realizar su aplicación efectiva, con lo cual se puede «planificar el futuro» elaborando planes de desarrollo a mediano plazo y a su vez «creando su futuro», ejecutando sus planes mediante programas de actuación a través del Proyect Management. La elaboración y ejecución de proyectos de inversión tanto públicos como privados, es de carácter obligatorio en cualquier parte del mundo si es que no se quiere quedar atrás en el desarrollo y crecimiento sostenido de un país. En el presente artículo se expone el rol fundamental de la gerencia de proyectos en el desarrollo de los países.

Mollepata is a district located in the province of Anta, Región Cusco, Peru. Since the efforts to enhance the ruins of Choquequirao, considered the “Machu Picchu sacred sister” and Quillarumiyoc archaeological complex, have developed incentive programs for alternative tourism in the form of experiential tourism. In this town we can find also notables cultural resources like thefestivitie of “Señor de la Exaltación”,and the one of the “Holy Cross of Tillca”. Mollepata has a splendid agricultural production and tours that offers to the visitors a variety of experiences. This district receives around 27,000 tourists a year (according to the Regional Directorate of Culture), which remains one or two days at the site since its objective is to reach Machu Picchu. However, it has shortcomings at the level of basic services infrastructure that hinder their development.
