El uso de las pastas medicadas en el tratamiento de los abscesos dentales mediante el procedimiento de la pulpectomía ayuda a mantener las piezas dentales primarias afectadas, evitando la aparición de maloclusiones y cierres de espacio ocasionados por una extracción dental prematura1 . El objetivo de realizar este tratamiento fue evaluar el éxito clínico y radiográfico de la pulpectomía Tipo 3 realizada en una sola cita con pasta tri-antibiótica (3 Mix) como uno de los componentes de obturación intracanal. Being one of the restoration options the use of the acetate crown technique, this was chosen due to the aesthetic results it offers and its few clinical steps. Thus fulfilling our objective of maintaining the integrity of the pieces and keeping them in their space, through the use of resin crowns made under this technique. The methodology used was the clinical case report in a male patient aged 2 years 09 months with a diagnosis of dental caries, where resin crowns were performed using the acetate crown technique. For the clinical evaluation at 12 months, the evaluation criteria for direct and indirect restorations according to the World Dental Federation were used. The use of medicated pastes in the treatment of dental abscesses through the pulpectomy procedure helps to keep the primary teeth affected. The objective of this treatment was to evaluate the clinical and radiographic success of the modification of the intracanal obturation mechanism of the pulpectomy performed in a single appointment. The clinical case report in a 2-year-10-month-old male with a diagnosis of acute apical periodontitis is presented, where a pulpectomy was performed in a single appointment. In the clinical evaluation at 7 days, clinical silence and absence of dental abscess were observed. At one month and at 4 months there was also absence of dental abscess and symptoms. Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento, actitudes y prácticas según el nivel de instrucción de las madres de dos instituciones de dos distritos de Lima, para prevenir la caries de la primera infancia, mediante el instrumento ECAP-CIT. Método: Estudio de tipo no experimental, transversal y correlacional. La muestra estuvo conformada por 125 madres del I.E.I Niño Jesús de Praga y 125 madres del Centro Materno infantil San Genaro de Villa, a quienes se les aplicó el cuestionario ECAP-CIT. Se utilizaron frecuencias y porcentajes como medidas para el nivel de conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas.
