El efecto del campo magnético sobre aguas duras ha sido reconocido por cerca de 100 años, no obstante, el mecanismo del mismo es aún desconocido. Una de las principales aplicaciones es la de suprimir las incrustaciones dentro de calderos, intercambiadores de calor y ductos de transmisión. En este artículo, reportamos una serie de experimentos de Laboratorio concernientes al efecto positivo del tratamiento magnético de aguas duras. Los principales métodos de diagnóstico empleados fueron: Observaciones del fáctor de turbiedad (Efecto Tyndall). Observaciones cristalográficas bajo luz polarizada, estructural (espectros Debye­Scherrer) y análisis químico.

  Magnetic Water  treatment is know for over a century, even though, actually no one knows exactly how it works. One of the naim applications is to suppress water-scale deposition on the inner surface of boilers, heat exchangers and pipelines. In the paper we report some experiments concerning the effectivity of the magnetic treatment in the reduction of water scale deposition. The applied diagnostic methods were: Observation of the turbidity factor (Tyndall efect). Cristallographic observations under polarized light. structural measurements (Debye-Scherrer spectra) and chemical composition.

The mathematical relationships obtained denote the complexity of the operation in the leached and adsorbed gold stage on activated carbon; since significant losses of gold in solution occur in real metallurgical operations. Similarly, in the adsorbed gold operation, it reveals its high kinetics at the beginning and tends to decrease as the process progresses; eventually reaching the maximum gold load that the carbon can accommodate, and then showing the opposite trend. Furthermore, varying the concentration of carbon affects the adsorption operation; that is, the kinetics of gold adsorbed on carbon decreases over time, but the operation has higher kinetics with a larger volume of carbon during adsorption.
