This research had the following objectives: 1) to identify, thematize and describe the significant moments of a psychoanalytic process perceived by the patients as important for the psychic change, as well as to analyze their nature and the relations between them, and the different aspects of the psychoanalytic process; 2) to evaluate if the perspective of the users on the significant moments of the psychotherapeutic process associated to the change contributes to extend the understanding of the therapeutic action of the psychoanalytic psychotherapy. The project has a qualitative approach, since a subjective phenomenon was taken as information (Mortl & Gelo, 2015), such as the user’s perception and assessment of aspects related to the psychoanalytic process that are related to psychic change, and the narrative of the lived process. The results show 4 thematic axes with 18 sub-theme...

The reconstruction of psychoanalytic sessions from the therapist’s subjective record has been the paradigmatic input from which therapeutic processes have been studied and the main theoretical and technical psychoanalytic models have been developed, being central material in the training of therapists. The systematic investigation of the therapeutic process from audio and video recordings, as well as the direct observation of caregiver-infant dyads for studying the forms of communication and mutual regulation, have generated a broadening of the understanding of the processes responsible for psychological change and the development of competencies for clinical work. Thus, we proposed to analyze the reconstructions that two therapists made of psychotherapy sessions with women victims of violence, along with the literal transcriptions of these sessions (audio recorded), with the aim of an...

The article explores the criteria used to assess the efficiency of individual psychotherapeutic treat-ments with adults. In doing so it used the perspective of 40 professionals that represent 4 types of clinical interventions: cognitive behavioral, psychoanalytic, rational emotive psychotherapies, and psychoanalysis. In addition, it seeks to identify the similarities and differences among these with regards to above-mentioned criteria. A semi-structured interview was built and applied, exploring considerations on the efficiency of the treatments. The qualitative analysis resulted in twelve analysis topics and its corresponding answer categories. These were analyzed through descriptive and correspondence statistics. These criteria are numerous and highly variegated. Differences among the 4 groups are related to the nature of each therapeutic focus and its underlying theoretical pa...
