El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar la eficiencia comparativa del Jacinto de agua (Eichhornia crassipes) y Lechuga de agua (Pistia stratiotes) en la de remoción de los parámetros físicos (conductividad y pH), químicos (demanda química de oxígeno, demanda bioquímica de oxígeno y oxígeno disuelto) y biológicos (coliformes fecales y totales) de las aguas residuales de la ciudad de Tacna. Se extrajo una muestra de 140 litros del canal de aguas residuales a entradas de la PTAR de Magollo, para su posterior tratamiento y análisis a los 0, 20, 40 y 60 días, los cuales se realizaron en el laboratorio Analytical Laboratory E.I.R.L. Magollo's stabilization ponds have been on the verge of collapse on several occasions, resulting in inefficient pollutant removal. The present investigation sought to perform a comparative evaluation of water hyacinth (Eichhornia Crassipes) and water lettuce (Pistia Stratiotes) for the treatment of wastewater from the stabilization ponds of Magollo, Tacna - Peru. For this, 6 polypropylene containers were used (3 to position Eichhornia Crassipes and 3, for Pistia stratiotes), depositing 20 liters of residual water collected from the Magollo lagoons in each one (all being fed by oxygenation engines of 2,5 Wts).
