Hydatidosis is a parasitosis produced by Echinococcus larvae, which form cysts frequently located in the liver and lung; Renal location has only been reported in 4% of visceral forms. We present the case of a 19-year-old man from Lima, who came to our hospital with pain in the left flank and hematuria, a tomography was performed suggestive of complicated simple cyst. A nephrectomy is performed and the piece is sent to the Pathology Department, in which they observe cystic formation inside which multiple folded whitish membranes are observed: in the microscopic examination anhistic membranes are observed, consistent with a renal hydatid cyst.

Chondrosarcoma is a skeletal malignant neoplasm characterized by the production of neoplastic cartilage, it represents only 20% of bone tumors, and its most frequent location is in the pelvis and proximal extremities. Location in small bones is very rare. A 44-year-old man with a 1-year illness who attended the trauma emergency at the hospital with an increase in volume of the back of the right foot accompanied by intense pain. A wide margin resection of the tumor was performed. The pathology department reported high-grade chondrosarcoma. Currently the patient is evaluated by the oncology service.

Objective. Describe the virtualization process of general and special pathology courses and the perception of students. Methods. Non-experimental, prospective, and cross-sectional study. For the virtual teaching of the courses, the Moodle platform was used; and, for histopathology practices, the Pathpresenter platform was used. 126 students from the general pathology course and 133 from special pathology participated. The questionnaire developed by Justin Krawiec and Quality Matters for Higher Education Rubric was used, consisting of 27 questions with Likert scale responses ranging from 1 to 5, where 1 is valued as totally disagree and 5 as totally agree. It has a reliability of 0.96 according to Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. The global assessments were established using percentiles. Results.
