The objective of this research work is to determine the frequency of risk factors for developing anorexia and bulimia in students in the 3rd and 4th years of secondary school in an educational institution in San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima. For this purpose, a cross-sectional study was carried out. Then, a validated instrument called “risk factors for Anorexia and Bulimia (FRAB)” was applied to the students, during the month of October 2017. A total of 100 students were included in the study, of which 67% were women. 21% of the students had a higher risk of presenting anorexia and bulimia compared to the other students on campus. The main risk factors were behaviors influenced by family and peers (25%), irrational attitudes (22%) and self-esteem (22%).
