Este estudio in vitro evaluó el efecto del propóleo asociado a suspensión de Biosilicato en la resistencia de unión (RU) a dentina usando restauraciones compuestas. Fueron preparadas cavidades oclusales (5 mm x 4 mm x 4 mm) en 320 molares humanos utilizando fresas de carburo. La mitad de las muestras fue sometida a protocolos Des-Re para formación de caries artificial. The teaching of dentistry changed. The effects of the pandemic, the virtualization of contents, and students belonging to Generation Z, demand for student-centered teaching where the classic teacher-centered learning is transformed into a student-centered education approach using didactic strategies like gamification. In this article, an experience carried out among fifth semester dental students is shared, using the resources of gamification to generate a meaningful teaching, leaving aside the master classes, and migrating to more efficient and effective student-centered learning models that generate a real commitment and motivation. Likewise, the perception of the students about the activity is shared.

Pit and fissure sealants have proven to be an efficient and effective alternative to protect occlusal surfaces from the development of carious lesions. A review of the abrasive air used in restorative dentistry is carried out and a clinical case of the use of this technology for the placement of pit and fissure sealants is presented.

Objective: To determine which artificial intelligence (AI) large language model demonstrates the highest accuracy in answering the 2023 National Dentistry Examination (ENAO, by its acronym in Spanish) in Peru, compared with the official answer key. Material and methods: The 100 multiple-choice questions from the 2023 ENAO were tested using ChatGPT-3.5, ChatGPT-4, Gemini, and Copilot. Responses were categorized by subject area and scored as correct or incorrect. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test (α = 0.05). Results: ChatGPT-4 achieved the highest overall accuracy (90.00%), followed by Gemini (82.00%), Copilot (79.00%), and ChatGPT-3.5 (76.00%). Across most models, the highest accuracy was observed in Public Health, Research, Health Services Management, and Ethics, whereas lower performance was observed in Anatomy and in Oral Medicine and Pathology.
