Background: A goal of health workforce planning is to have the most appropriate workforce available to meet prevailing needs. However, this is a difficult task when considering integrated care, as future workforces may require different numbers, roles and skill mixes than those at present. With this uncertainty and large variations in what constitutes integrated care, current health workforce policy and planning processes are poorly placed to respond. In order to address this issue, we present a scenario-based workforce planning approach. Methods: We propose a novel mixed methods design, incorporating content analysis, scenario methods and scenario analysis through the use of a policy Delphi. The objective of this work is to characterize the funerary treatment of individuals buried in two archaeological sites on the central coast of Peru during the late periods (1100 AD-1532 AD). We document patterns shared by the population in general and peculiarities that characterize each site regarding the mortuary treatment of the body. The «Ancón Necropolis» is one of the largest funerary sites in the Central Andes. It was occupied by a local population whose main activities would have been fishing and textile production. The Pachacamac sanctuary is one of the most important oracles in pre-Hispanic times and it had religious, administrative, and political functions, in addition to a domestic occupation. El proyecto colaborativo "Las momias como microcosmos“ tiene como objetivo evaluar el impacto del Imperio Inca en la costa central. En el 2019 se iniciaron las investigaciones sobre una colección de fardos funerarios del Intermedio Tardío recuperados en el marco del proyecto de rescate arqueológico para la construcción del Museo Nacional de Arqueología (MUNA) y que hoy forman parte de la colección del Museo Pachacamac; con la finalidad de reconstruir la osteobiografía de los individuos, para conocer sus condiciones de salud, enfermedades y sus ritos funerarios mediante el análisis paleoradiológico no destructivo a través de CT-Scan y rayos-X.
