En la universidad, una de las maneras de obtener el título profesional es la tesis, como en el caso de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM) de Perú y la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional (UPN) de México, aunque existan otras modalidades.
