This paper is intended to give a synchronic description of the phonological processes suffered by the occlusive segments in coda position at the inner part of the word in the Spanish of Lima. In addition, the descriptive part of the research will be supported by acoustic data that may be evidenced throughout the work. For this purpose the Praat program was used (acoustic analysis). On the other hand, the contrast between the onset and syllabic coda is evidenced from the types ofprocesses that affect each of these positions; for example, the onsets tend to be modified by reinforcement phenomena, while the syllabic codas are modified by weakening processes. Precisely, the purpose ofthis work is to give account of these weakening processes affecting the occlusive segments in syllabic coda. Likewise, for the explanatory part of this paper, the non-linear generative phonology will be used as ...

This study presents an approach to the phonetic similarities and differences between a natural voice and an artificial voice, which is why it seeks to: (a) provide an analysis that serves as a precedent for judicial cases of voice cloning by artificial intelligence (AI) and (b) expose the importance of linguistics as a source of scientific evidence for the judicial system. Thus, the voice of the Argentine narrator Mariano Closs and his artificial counterpart created in FakeYou (text-to-speech converter) have been analyzed using the combined method that integrates the use of automatic voice analysis programs (Forensia and SIS II) and the phonetic analysis. The automatic programs showed results of high convergence between the natural voice and the artificial voice. However, in the phonetic analysis, differences were observed in the production of certain sounds, in intonation, and there wer...

This article presents a proposal for the interpretation and organization of the phonetic characteristics of indubitable and dubitative samples using SplitsTree4 software, with the purpose of clarifying an alleged crime of bribery in the exercise of police functions to the detriment of the State. The dubitted samples were provided by the Public Prosecutor's Office and the indubitable samples were obtained by means of voice sampling; likewise, data anonymity was chosen. First, the relevant phonetic features of the samples were categorized; then, they were assigned a binary value of existence and non-existence; then, the binary information was processed by SplitsTree4 software to regroup the features according to the universe of speakers and show the compatibility between the indicated samples. Finally, the results indicate that the SplitsTree4 software complies with the ordering of phoneti...
