Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic led to a quarantine in Peru seeking the greatest social distancing. Objective: To determine the effect of quarantine on eating behavior, physical activity and mental health before and during this period in older adults in Trujillo. Study: Observational, descriptive, longitudinal in 350 older adults, by means of virtual survey on frequency of food consumption, physical activity and changes in mental health, analyzed by chi-square. Findings: The intake of alcoholic beverages and fast food decreased. The level of physical activity decreased significantly. Feelings of loneliness, depression, anxiety, among others, increased. Perception of weight gain and waist size increase was found. Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is progressive hair loss characterized by miniaturization of the hair follicle with a characteristic pattern according to sex and multifactorial origin. Objective: To determine the clinical-epidemiological characteristics of AGA in adult patients of the Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo from March 23 to September 23, 2022. Methods: Prospective descriptive observational study. Information was obtained through data collection forms of patients over 18 years of age with a diagnosis of AGA. Results: Of 40 patients with AGA, 55% were male and 45% female, mainly aged 31-49 years and with family history of AAG (72.5%). In males the typical grade IIIv pattern prevailed in those aged 31-49 years; and in females the diffuse grade I pattern (25%) in <70 years. In Peru, one of the first interventions to flattened the epidemiologic curve of the pandemic was quarantine that changed eating behavior, physical activity and mental health of the population. Objective: to determine modifications in eating behavior, physical activity and mental health in young adults before and after the quarantine. Methods: cohort study involving 384 adults from 18 to 24 years of age that were subjected to a virtual interview and application of an international questionnaire to evaluate changings in eating behavior, physical activity and mental health contrasted by Chi square. Objetivo: Evaluar el efecto del extracto de Allium sativum L. sobre la eficacia del tratamiento con metformina en Rattus norvegicus cepa Holtzman con diabetes mellitus inducida por aloxano. Material y métodos: Se realizó un estudio experimental aleatorizado, donde se utilizaron 48 ratas Holtzman y aloxano como inductor de diabetes mellitus. Los especímenes fueron distribuidos en cuatro grupos: Grupo 0 (G0): Sin ningún tratamiento (control); Grupo 1 (G1): extracto de Allium sativum L. 500 mg / kg; Grupo 2 (G2): metformina 100 mg/kg; Grupo 3 (G3): Extracto de Allium sativum L. 500 mg/kg más metformina 100 mg/kg.
