Paciente varón de 57 años, natural de Lima, raza mestiza, estado civil casado, con antecedente de ureterolitotomía izquierda hace diez años y diagnóstico de adenoma prostático hace cinco años. No hábitos nocivos, no homosexualismo, no transfusiones. Viaja frecuentemente a los Estados Unidos de América, desde hace 4 años. El paciente ingresa al Hospital María Auxiliadora con un tiempo de enfermedad de 20 años aproximadamente caracterizado por fiebre continua, cefalea global intensa, astenia, anorexia, disuria, polaquiuria, tenesmo vesical, deposiciones semilíquidas en número de 5 al día, sin moco, sin sangre y una disminución ponderal aproximadamente de 10 kilos en los últimos veinte días.

Introducción: La histoplasmosis es una infección fúngica endémica en Perú, y la co-infección con VIH conlleva dificultades diagnósticas y alta mortalidad asociada. Objetivo: Describir las características clínicas, epidemiológicas y desenlace clínico en pacientes con infección por VIH con diagnóstico de histoplasmosis diseminada (HD) en el Hospital Nacional Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen, Lima-Perú. Objective: To estimate the prevalence of self-reported tuberculosis TB diagnosed at Peruvian correctional facilities (CFs), and their associated factors. Methods: Cross-sectional study based on secondary analysis of the National Census held in all Peruvian CFs in 2016. Outcome was defined as self-reported TB diagnosed by a healthcare professional intra-penitentiary. A descriptive bivariate analysis was carried out, followed by multivariate analysis using Poisson regression in order to calculate the adjusted prevalence ratios (PRa). Additionally, a mixed effects multilevel model adjusted by CFs as clusters was performed. Results: Of 77 086 prison inmates in 66 CFs participated in the original census, of which 69 890 were included. The endoscopic polypectomy using high frecuency current was performed to remove elevated lesions of the stomach in 13 patients, 9 male and 5 female, between 28 to 68 years old. The gross appearance of 16 elevated lesions removed by snare excision was classified on the basis of Yamada's classification. The final histopathologic diagnosis was: 10 hiperplasic polyps, 5 adenomatous polyps and 1 aberrant pancreas. The post polypectomy ulceration healed between 2 to 4 weeks without complications during and after the procedure.

The research aims to determine the relationship between the tendency to academic procrastination and the motivational attributions of achievement in students of the seventh cycle of the EBR of the province of Arequipa. Following the approach of the phonological rules, a descriptive study was conducted of the phonetic/phonological development of pre-school students in Metropolitan Lima, who were selected by a stratified random sampling process. Data was collected with the Phonetic- Phonological Development Test composed of two areas: phonology awareness and phonology rules, evaluating consonantal and vocalic phonemes of the Spanish language. The results showed that there were significant differences in the use of phonology awareness of rhyme and alliteration according to the socio-economic level; however, the differences were not significant when considering sex and age variables. No significant differences were also found in the use of phonological rules according to sex, age and socioeconomic level.
