El estudio tuvo como objetivo caracterizar casos humanos de ántrax y sus factores asociados en Perú, utilizando datos de vigilancia nacional e investigaciones de brotes. Estudio epidemiológico observacional basado en la triada tiempo, espacio y persona afectada e identificación de factores asociados mediante un diseño transversal analítico retrospectivo. La muestra se estableció con 419 casos humanos de ántrax registrados en el Sistema de Vigilancia Epidemiológica Nacional del 1 de enero del 2000 al 31 de diciembre del 2019 y datos de investigaciones de brotes. El Instrumento fue una Ficha Ad Hoc con coeficientes de validez 0.848 y confiabilidad 0.811. De 419 casos de ántrax cutáneo, 73.03% fueron confirmados y 26.97% probables, siendo el 59.19% masculino y 56.56% de 15 a 44 años. In the present study, the epidemiological characteristics of the human anthrax outbreak during 2015 were determined in the Chulucanas district, Morropón province, Piura department. This is an observational cross-sectional applied study, where 103 subjects who were interviewed and examined were enrolled. IgG ELISA, PCR and culture tests were performed for the diagnosis of Bacillus anthracis in which 44 cases of human anthrax were determined, including 15 confirmed cases and 29 probable cases. The most frequent signs and symptoms were reddening, itching and blistering in the area of injury, followed by fever, headache, joint pain, chills and extensive edema of the lesion.
