El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar la influencia de la deforestación sobre la peligrosidad de las inundaciones en la microcuenca Sonomoro para el periodo 1980 al 2015. Se desarrolló una investigación no experimental del tipo transeccional descriptivo-correlacional, evaluando la variación de la peligrosidad a inundaciones en función a la deforestación mediante modelos de regresión lineal simple. Los métodos específicos utilizados fueron: caracterización y cuantificación de la peligrosidad en función a la aproximación de los parámetros magnitud, intensidad, frecuencia y duración a partir de simulación de inundaciones utilizando las herramientas HEC-GeoRAS, HEC-RAS y ArcGIS, y para deforestación se procesaron imágenes satelitales utilizando los softwares ENVI y ArcGIS. El objetivo fue evaluar la percepción a la variabilidad y cambio climático de las comunidades campesinas de Achipampa y Quichuay y comparar con las tendencias y cambios experimentados por la precipitación y temperatura registradas por estaciones meteorológicas cercanas. El análisis estadístico de los registros de precipitación (1964 - 2014) y temperatura (2009 - 2014) de las estaciones meteorológicas de Ingenio y Laive fue mediante el test de Mann-Kendall y pruebas de homogeneidad, y se contrastó con datos cualitativos colectados a través de una encuesta aplicada a 89 comuneros. We present the first records of a melanistic jaguar (Panthera onca) coexisting with non-melanistic jaguars in the Cordillera Escalera - Regional Conservation Area, San Martín, Peru. Between the years 2017 and 2022, twelve camera traps were installed in a wildlife corridor to evaluate the occurrence of mammals and birds within the conservation area. A total record of 9 photos and 24 videos was obtained, of which 6 photos and 10 videos corresponded to a melanistic male specimen. The largest number of records was in April and July 2021, during night events. These results represent important evidence of the presence of previously undocumented melanistic jaguars in the area, allowing the strengthening of jaguar conservation initiatives and distribution evaluation within the Cordillera Escalera - RCA.
