This present study of experimental design had as aim determines the anti-inflammatory effect of Oenothera rosea (Yawar socco) in rats which were induced acute and chronic inflammation. The whole plant was dried at 38 °C in an oven with circulating air, ground and macerated with a mix ethanol/water (70:30)1. It was used winter experimental model to evaluate the acute state (subplantar edema) induced with carrageenan and the model of xylene-induced edema ear. To determine the chronic inflammatory activity was used the model of carrageenan-induced granuloma using a modification of the technique described by Sedwick and Lees. It was used 132 albino rats of 300 g randomly divided in groups of eight each, one whereas a control with saline solution 5 mL/kg, one with the agent that induces inflammation (AI), AI groups and extract in 3 doses also with dexamethasone and ibuprofen, being 56 rats f...

Thermomineral waters are traditionally used by the Peruvian population for various diseases. Objective: To determine and compare the chemical components of the thermal water of San Antonio de Putina-Puno during the seasons of 2017. Materials and methods: non-experimental design, carried out according to the recommendations included in section 1060B of Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater in its 21 edition, Official Methods of Analysis of the Association of Official Analytical Chemists (AOAC) and US Standard (EPA). Metal concentrations were determined by Inductively Coupled Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) and nonmetals by ion chromatography (EPA 300.1993 rev.2.1) ANOVA was applied considering p <0.05 for significance. Results: 52 chemical components were analyzed in each season, and the most important are the average sodium 1604 mg / L, chloride 1,829.83 mg / L sulfa...

Tagetes filifolía a medicinal Asteraceae according to data by ethnobotany show the uses to alleviate aliments of the digestive tract, for the secretion of lactic and fertility. Stressful environmental factors are causing an increase in fertility problems, so it is necessary to look for products that regulate fertility, that improve spermatogenesis and ovulation. Was detected the effect or the components of the methanol subextract of leaves of anisillo on fertilitv in rats, using the rnethod of Rani Srivastava S. et al (2004) with modifications. 36 normal rats strain Holtzmann 150 + 20 g adquired by the NIH, were distributed randomly into three groups of 12 animals, six males and six females, together since the beginning of the administration of substances, orally for 18 days: Group 1, saline 2 mL / kg; group_2, anisillo 200 mg / kg, and Grup03 metoclopramide 1;:, mg / kg; evaluation ind...

A description of the morphological external characteristics of Peperomia scutellaefolia R. et P. and some microscope details and the wound healing effect of vegetal specie Peperomia scutellaefolia R. et P. were evaluated and described in this research using tensiometric methods and the results were corroborated with histological studies in order to observe and analyze the histological evolution in each case. Batch Balb C 53 albine mice with 25g of average weight were used and treated with Carbopol 940 gel s with 5%, 10%, 20% and 30% W /W concentrations of this vegetal extract. The results obtained were compared with two groups: the control group (without treatment) and another group treated with a commercial medicament. A better wound healing cffect with Peperomia' s 5% W /W concentration gel was obtained. Flavonoids and fenolic compounds were found and identified by ultraviolet and infr...

Abuta grandifolia is a native plant from the Amazon region, traditionally used in the control of diabetes mellitus. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effectiveness of reducing the glucose level when the aqueous extract (AE) ofA. grandifolia (Mart.) is orally administered in diabetic rats induced by alloxan. Thirty Sprague Dawley male rats, 3-month-old, body weight of 240 ± 10 g were used. The animals were distributed in six groups (negative control, positive control, treated with three doses of the AE [100, 250 and 500 mg/kg] and treated with glibenclamide [10 mg/kg]). Diabetes was induced by intraperitoneal injection of alloxan (100 mg/kg). Blood glucose levels were measured by an electronic glucometer (Accu-ChekActive). The glibenclamide and the AE ofA. grandifolia in doses of 100 and 250 mg/kg showed a hypoglycemic effect; however, the 250 mg/kg dose had the best effec...

The vegetable species in study were located and gathered in the month of February in the town of Ticlio located between 4500 to 5000 o.s.l. to the height of the km 130 of the central highway, in the area of mountain of the department of Lima. It was classified in the Museum of Natural History as: Senecio culcitoides Weed. of vulgar name:, Huajchor, Semaro Huamasti, According to Jaroroslav Soukup (1). For the extraction of the secondary metabolites was realized a maceration etanólica of lea ves of Se necio culcitoides Weed being continued solubility test and the screening respective fitoquímico, being bigger quantity of phenolic compound , as flavonoides, tannins, etc., besides alkaloids, steroids and/or triterpenoides. The structural elucidaban by means of ultraviolet espectroscopía - visible, was determined that they belonged to phenolic compound derived flavonoides belong the nucleu...

The "goyal" Satureja sericea, Lamiaceae, native plant of the department of Ancash province of Wari, community Mallas, is used as an infusion the aerial parts to relieve the carrier of ailments digestive tract because of its anti-inflammatory properties and carminativa. Peru is an open field for investigation of its rich flora assessed on 17,144 species (angiosperms and gymnosperms), 2458 genera and 244 families (Brako and Zarucchi, 1993), distributed in the coast region, Andean and Amazon. For this investigation is collected and studied the aerial parts of Satureja sericea (goyal), is dried under shade, is pulverized and the extract was obtained by macerating hydroalcoholic. Was conducted progress solubility and phyto march in which he observed large amounts of phenolic compounds.lt was found the presence of at least four kinds phenolic flavonoids, through reactions of coloration and pre...

The purpose of the present investigation was to determinate the antihypertensive activity of the ethanolic extract from Petroselinum sntivunJ "perejil"parsley in hypertensive rats. Four groups (n = 6), Holtzmann rats was used. The arterial hypertension in three groups was induced by administration of L-NAME 50 rng!kg/day orally for 11 days; of them, one group was administraled vehiele only, Ihe olhers groups were administrated parsley al dose 01 200 and 600 mglkglday, respectively; the fourth ene was the white and was administrated distilled water, !he treatment with parsley started two days after administration L-NAME and was daily. The arterial pressure was measured starting the experiment and aldays 2, 3, 4, 7 and 11. The SBP decreased significantly from firsl day 01 Irealmenl wilh parsley at dose of 600 rng!kgl day from 167,5 ± 1,5 mmHg up lo 148,5 + 2,9 mmHg (p < 0,001), the DBP...
