This present study of experimental design had as aim determines the anti-inflammatory effect of Oenothera rosea (Yawar socco) in rats which were induced acute and chronic inflammation. The whole plant was dried at 38 °C in an oven with circulating air, ground and macerated with a mix ethanol/water (70:30)1. It was used winter experimental model to evaluate the acute state (subplantar edema) induced with carrageenan and the model of xylene-induced edema ear. To determine the chronic inflammatory activity was used the model of carrageenan-induced granuloma using a modification of the technique described by Sedwick and Lees. It was used 132 albino rats of 300 g randomly divided in groups of eight each, one whereas a control with saline solution 5 mL/kg, one with the agent that induces inflammation (AI), AI groups and extract in 3 doses also with dexamethasone and ibuprofen, being 56 rats f...

Thermomineral waters are traditionally used by the Peruvian population for various diseases. Objective: To determine and compare the chemical components of the thermal water of San Antonio de Putina-Puno during the seasons of 2017. Materials and methods: non-experimental design, carried out according to the recommendations included in section 1060B of Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater in its 21 edition, Official Methods of Analysis of the Association of Official Analytical Chemists (AOAC) and US Standard (EPA). Metal concentrations were determined by Inductively Coupled Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) and nonmetals by ion chromatography (EPA 300.1993 rev.2.1) ANOVA was applied considering p <0.05 for significance. Results: 52 chemical components were analyzed in each season, and the most important are the average sodium 1604 mg / L, chloride 1,829.83 mg / L sulfa...

A description of the morphological external characteristics of Peperomia scutellaefolia R. et P. and some microscope details and the wound healing effect of vegetal specie Peperomia scutellaefolia R. et P. were evaluated and described in this research using tensiometric methods and the results were corroborated with histological studies in order to observe and analyze the histological evolution in each case. Batch Balb C 53 albine mice with 25g of average weight were used and treated with Carbopol 940 gel s with 5%, 10%, 20% and 30% W /W concentrations of this vegetal extract. The results obtained were compared with two groups: the control group (without treatment) and another group treated with a commercial medicament. A better wound healing cffect with Peperomia' s 5% W /W concentration gel was obtained. Flavonoids and fenolic compounds were found and identified by ultraviolet and infr...

The vegetable species in study were located and gathered in the month of February in the town of Ticlio located between 4500 to 5000 o.s.l. to the height of the km 130 of the central highway, in the area of mountain of the department of Lima. It was classified in the Museum of Natural History as: Senecio culcitoides Weed. of vulgar name:, Huajchor, Semaro Huamasti, According to Jaroroslav Soukup (1). For the extraction of the secondary metabolites was realized a maceration etanólica of lea ves of Se necio culcitoides Weed being continued solubility test and the screening respective fitoquímico, being bigger quantity of phenolic compound , as flavonoides, tannins, etc., besides alkaloids, steroids and/or triterpenoides. The structural elucidaban by means of ultraviolet espectroscopía - visible, was determined that they belonged to phenolic compound derived flavonoides belong the nucleu...

At the present investigation the good conditions for the extraction of anthocyanins from purple corn cobs were investigated, by means of the employment of a complete design at random with factorial arrangement 2A3B4C4D. The factors studied were pH, solvent, time and temperature. The results showed anthocyanins between 8,404 and 47,984 mg/g of cob according to the method of differential pH. Analysis of four factors were presented.

The leaves of soursop (Annona muricata L.) are traditionally used to treat acute diarrhea; the matter, has not found enough information to validate its property antidiarrheal, so was proposed to assess experimentally the action and acute toxicity. For that, 11 groups were formed randomly, 6 male mice Balb-C 56 each. Group one served as control (1 mL saline), the experimental groups 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 received methanol extract of Annona muricata L. in doses: 10, 25, 50, 75, 100 and 200 mg/kg body weight, respectively; the group eight received loperamide 1 mg/kg and the group nine castor oil 10 mL/kg. Activated carbon was used as a marker of intestinal transit by model in vivo in mice. The lethal dose 50 for the biological sample was 229 mg/kg, with a confidence interval of 95% (244,3 upper and lower 220,9). At doses of 25 mg/kg of Annona muricata L., a reduction of intestinal transit of ...
