Teaching strategies are a series of actions carried out by the instructor with clear and explicit pedagogical intention. The foundations of these strategies lie on pedagogical knowledge and fall into two basic areas, namely; learning (learner‘s perspective) and instruction (professor‘s perspective).  This paper focuses on the project method as an instructional strategy applied in university course. Details on how the learners stimulate their strongest abilities and develop new ones are presented. This skill-building process prevents and solves interpersonal conflicts while creating both a favorable atmosphere and self-confidence which allows development of their own skills.

RESUMEN En este artículo se hace una revisión de la aplicación de la programación lineal como método matemático que logra aportar información para la toma de decisiones en la gestión de las PYMES, considerando que estas unidades productivas son eficientes palancas en el desarrollo social. La técnica de programación lineal no ha sido aprovechada por los planificadores y asesores del sector PYMES. Se trata, entonces, de dejar al descubierto el detalle de las peculiaridades metodológicas de la técnica mediante la presentación de un modelo generado para una pequeña unidad productiva, dejando así clara evidencia de que la misma constituye un potente instrumento analítico al servicio de las pequeñas y medianas empresas.
