En el presente trabajo se estudió la variación morfométrica a diferentes niveles (dimorfismo sexual, variación altitudinal y variación entre diferentes localidades) mediante las herramientas de morfometría geométrica de los ventritos abdominales de Premnotrypes latithorax. Para tales objetivos, se revisaron 141 ejemplares depositados en la Colección Entomológica de la UNSAAC de 10 provincias del departamento del Cusco con fechas de colecta desde 1993 al 2019, para observar la variación morfométrica referida al dimorfismo sexual se revisó 40 ejemplares (27 ♀y 13♂ ) del distrito de Marangani, provincia de Canchis. They are categorized as Near Threatened by the IUCN, but they are not under legal protection in Peru, where their documentation has been limited. Here we present occurrence data of this species inside the Manu Learning Centre biological station, in the Manu Biosphere Reserve from the period 2012 – 2022, and a suggestion about how to assess this species in the future, using already existing legal regulations.
