Metodología: Investigación cuantitativa, descriptiva de nivel correlacional, corte transversal y no experimental. Población conformada por 175 estudiantes de la carrera de Enfermería. Recolección de datos realizada mediante cuestionarios, validados previamente por un jurado experto con resultado de prueba V.Aiken mayor a 0.60 y confiabilidad mediante RK-20 de 0.659 para la variable estigma y 0.845 para la variable conocimiento. Resultados: El 54% de los estudiantes encuestados calificaron un estigma bajo y un conocimiento bueno del trastorno mental, el 34% de los estudiantes encuestados calificaron un estigma bajo según la dimensión percepción y un conocimiento bueno del trastorno mental, el 37% de los estudiantes encuestados calificaron un estigma bajo según la dimensión actitud y un conocimiento bueno del trastorno mental, el 50% de los estudiantes encuestados calificaron un estigma bajo según la dimensión creencia y un conocimiento bueno del trastorno mental. Conclusión: Existe una relación entre el estigma y conocimiento del trastorno mental en estudiantes de Enfermería de una Universidad privada, Lima – 2021.

Methodology: Quantitative, descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional and non-experimental research. Population made up by 175 nursing students. Data collection made by questionnaires, previously validates by an expert judge´s with V.Aiken greater than 0.60 and the reliability with RK-20; 0.659 for stigma variable and 0.845 for knowledge variable. Results: 54% of the students surveyed rated a low stigma and a good knowledge of mental disorders, 34% of the students surveyed rated a low stigma according to the perception dimension and a good knowledge of mental disorders, 37% of the students respondents rated low stigma according to the attitude dimension and good knowledge of mental disorders, 50% of the students surveyed rated low stigma according to the belief dimension and good knowledge of mental disorders.
