Este cuestionario comprendió preguntas que fueron juzgadas por 8 expertos (0.988). Posterior a ello se realizó una prueba piloto en 15 alumnos (0.779). El nivel de conocimiento se clasificó en bueno, regular y malo. Se utilizó la prueba estadística del Chi cuadrado. RESULTADOS: Se determinó que el nivel de conocimiento sobre la atención estomatológica de pacientes con VIH+ en estudiantes fue regular con un 61%, malo con 27% y bueno con 11%. Con respecto al ciclo académico, se halló un mejor nivel de conocimiento en el 8º ciclo, con un 19%. Las mujeres y hombres tuvieron un conocimiento regular 39% y 23% respectivamente. CONCLUSION: Existe un nivel de conocimiento sobre el manejo odontológico de paciente con VIH+, en los estudiantes, regular con el 61%, siendo el 8º ciclo y las mujeres con mayor nivel de conocimiento.

MATERIALS AND METHODS: Observational, cross-sectional study, which evaluated 70 students, from the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th cycle, applying a questionnaire to them virtually, with closed questions and multiple choice. This questionnaire comprised questions that were judged by 8 experts (0.988). After this, a pilot test was carried out in 15 students (0.779). The level of knowledge was classified as good, fair and bad. The statistical test of Chi square was used. RESULTS: It was determined that the level of knowledge about the dental care of patients with HIV + in students was regular with 61%, bad with 27% and good with 11%. Regarding the academic cycle, a better level of knowledge was found in the 8th cycle, with 19%. Women and men had a regular knowledge 39% and 23% respectively.
