Determinar los factores más frecuentes que causan la automedicación por odontalgia en pacientes del C.S Puente Chao, durante la COVID-19, mayo 2022. Dicho cuestionario constó de 10 preguntas, el cuestionario fue sometido a valoración por juicio de expertos y se realizó prueba piloto en 20 pacientes. Resultados: Se halló que la disponibilidad de tiempo para asistir a las citas odontológicas fue mayor en mujeres con p=0.021. La edad se asoció con las subvariables de contar con dinero suficiente para el pago de atención odontológica obtuvo un R=-0.225; p=0.005). la subvariable tiempo para ir atenderse por el profesional odontólogo obtuvo un r =-0,036; p=0.047. El grado de instrucción se asoció con la atención por odontólogo con un R=0,214, también se asoció con el contar dinero para el pago de consulta odontológica con R=0,305 y si se considera elevado el costo de la consulta odontológica con un R=0.035. Conclusiones: Se concluyó que la disposición de asistir a consulta odontológica se asoció con el sexo femenino. El tener tiempo para asistir a las citas odontológicas se asoció con la edad. El tener dinero suficiente para la consulta odontológica se asoció con la edad y grado de instrucción. El considerar elevado el costo de atención se asoció con el grado de instrucción. El tener atención odontológica en la zona donde vive se asoció al grado de instrucción. |

Material and methods: It was a descriptive, cross-sectional study, applied to 154 people who were given a survey. Said questionnaire consisted of 10 questions, the questionnaire was submitted to evaluation by expert judgment and a pilot test was carried out in 20 patients. Results: It was found that the availability of time to attend dental appointments was greater in women with p=0.021. Age was associated with the subvariables of having enough money to pay for dental care, obtaining an R=-0.225; p=0.005). The subvariable time to go to see the dental professional obtained an r = -0.036; p=0.047. The level of education was associated with dental care with R=0.214, it was also associated with counting money to pay for dental consultation with R=0.305 and if the cost of dental consultation is considered high with R=0.035. Conclusions: It was concluded that the willingness to attend a dental consultation was associated with the female sex. Having time to attend dental appointments was associated with age. Having enough money for a dental visit was associated with age and educational level. Considering the cost of care to be high was associated with the level of education.
