Los códigos de mayor prevalencia en estos pacientes ya mencionados, fueron el 3 y 4 (bolsas mayor y menor de 5,5 mm). Además, con respecto al estado nutricional; el sexo femenino presentó una media de 25.1 ( 3.1 mientras que, el sexo masculino presentó una media de 26.3 ( 3. donde estos valores representan pacientes con sobrepeso. Mientras que, según edad, el grupo menor de 60 años, presentó una media de 25.5 ( 2.8 as mismo el grupo de 6 años a más presentó una media de 25.3 ( 3.6). Además, según grupo etario y sexo, se encontró que no existe relación entre el estado periodontal y el estado nutricional en estos pacientes adultos con diabetes mellitus tipo 2. Conclusiones: No existe relación entre estado periodontal y estado nutricional en pacientes adultos con diabetes mellitus tipo 2. Además, los códigos que más prevalecieron en estos pacientes fueron, el 3 y 4(bolsas mayor y menor de 5,5 mm).
