Material y Método: El trabajo de investigación fue observacional y de corte transversal, se evaluaron a 80 estudiantes desde el séptimo al décimo semestre, aplicándose un cuestionario virtual sobre patologías de glándulas salivales, este cuestionario constó de 10 preguntas, fue sometido a valoración por juicio de expertos (0.994). Se realizó la prueba piloto en 15 estudiantes (0.790). El nivel de conocimiento fue clasificado en bueno, regular y malo. Se usó la prueba estadística chi-cuadrado. Resultados: Se encontró que el nivel de conocimiento sobre patologías de glándulas salivales en los estudiantes fue regular con un 63%, seguido de un nivel bueno con 24% y un nivel malo con 14%. En el género femenino presentaron un nivel regular de 34% y el género masculino un 29% .Así mismo en el semestre académico, los de séptimo semestre presentaron mayor porcentaje de conocimiento con 29%; octavo semestre con 16% y décimo semestre con 22% en nivel regular. Conclusiones: El nivel de conocimiento en estudiantes de Estomatología fue regular con el 63%, siendo el séptimo ciclo y las mujeres con un nivel de conocimiento regular.

Material and Method: The research work was observational and cross-sectional, 80 students were evaluated from the seventh to the tenth semester, applying a virtual questionnaire on salivary gland pathologies, this questionnaire consisted of 10 questions, it was subjected to evaluation by expert judgment (0.994). The pilot test was carried out on 15 students (0.790). The level of knowledge was classified as good, fair and bad. The chi-square statistical test was used. Results: It was found that the level of knowledge about salivary gland pathologies in the students was regular with 63%, followed by a good level with 24% and a bad level with 14%. In the female gender they presented a regular level of 34% and the male gender 29%. Likewise, in the academic semester, those in the seventh semester presented a higher percentage of knowledge with 29%; eighth semester with 16% and tenth semester with 22% at regular level.
