Material y métodos: Se realizó un estudio observacional, retrospectivo, analítico, transversal donde se incluyeron a 175 pacientes con diagnóstico de cirrosis hepática no alcohólica y que cumplían con los criterios de selección, de los cuales se procedió a establecer los factores asociados a esteatohepatitis no alcohólica. Resultados: Se incluyeron 105 pacientes con el diagnóstico de cirrosis hepática con esteatohepatitis no alcohólica y a 70 con el diagnóstico de cirrosis hepática por otra causa; donde, en el análisis bivariado se encontró el grado de significancia a la obesidad (p 0.000), DM2 (p 0.042), síndrome metabólico (p 0.037); y en el análisis multivariado se encontró el grado de significancia a las variables; obesidad (OR: 15.35; IC 95%, 4.89-48.21, valor p 0.000) y síndrome metabólico (OR: 1.38 IC 95%, 1.15-4.66, valor p 0.018). Conclusión: Se demostró que la obesidad y síndrome metabólico fueron los factores de riesgo asociados a cirrosis hepática por esteatohepatitis no alcohólica. |

Material and methods: An observational, retrospective, analytical, cross-sectional, retrospective study was carried out in which 175 patients with a diagnosis of non- alcoholic liver cirrhosis who met the selection criteria were included and the factors associated with non-alcoholic steatohepatitis were established. Results: 105 patients with a diagnosis of liver cirrhosis with non-alcoholic steatohepatitis and 70 with a diagnosis of liver cirrhosis due to another cause were included; where, in the bivariate analysis, the degree of significance was found for obesity (p 0. 000), DM2 (p 0.042), metabolic syndrome (p 0.037); and in the multivariate analysis the degree of significance was found for the variables; obesity (OR: 15.35; 95% CI, 4.89-48.21, p-value 0.000) and metabolic syndrome (OR: 1.38 95% CI, 1.15-4.66, p-value 0.018).
