(cascarilla), se aplicó el diseño completamente al azar (DCA) de dos factores de 4 bloques por 5 tratamientos y 4 repeticiones, los análisis fueron obtenidos mediante la prueba de rango múltiple Duncan al 5 % de probabilidad para los tratamientos en estudio, los tratamientos en estudio son iguales estadísticamente, es decir no hubo efecto alguno de los sustratos en la germinación de semilla, por lo tanto son iguales en los cinco tratamientos, con cuatro repeticiones con un nivel de confianza del 95 %, Para el porcentaje de germinación de semillas de Cinchona officinalis L. (cascarilla), se debe utilizar el tratamiento: T5, por permitirnos obtener un porcentaje de semillas germinadas (100 %). Para el crecimiento inicial de Cinchona officinalis (cascarilla), para las mejores características de las variables en estudio (altura de planta y diámetro del tallo) a nivel de vivero, según los análisis estadísticos realizados, nos ha demostrado que se puede utilizar también el tratamiento T3 y T4, por permitirnos obtener una altura de 1,92 cm y 0,23 mm respectivamente al cabo de 5 meses de almacigado
