Sumario:The present research work aimed to determine the relationship between critical reading and the production of academic texts in students of Primary Education Universidad Nacional de Trujillo, 2020; We worked with a sample of 17 students from the 1st cycle of the School of Primary Education of the National University of Trujillo. To measure critical reading, the instrument used was a test; which was made up of three texts; and the instrument used for the writing of academic texts was a test, in which they had to make an argumentative text. The design used was descriptive and correlational. The results confirm that there is a highly significant correlation (p<.01), between Critical Reading and the Production of Academic Texts in primary education students at the National University of Trujillo-2020.
