Sumario:Introduction: Once the previous pathology has remitted, ostomies can be reversed through a surgical procedure that closes and reestablishes intestinal continuity, which is not free of complications that affect the patient's health, which can result in longer hospital stays and higher medical costs. General Objective: Determine the complications of reconstitution of intestinal transit in ostomy patients at the Loreto Regional Hospital from 2021 to 2023. Material and method: A quantitative, observational, descriptive, retrospective cross-sectional study will be carried out. The study population and sample will consist of all patients with ostomies at the Loreto Regional Hospital who underwent surgery to restore intestinal transit. Conclusion: At the national level there are few studies of this type, but given that Loreto is an area where patients come from the riverside and surrounding areas, it is important to study the postoperative complications associated with the restoration of intestinal transit in these patients.
