En consecuencia, es importante promover el balance ecológico de los agroecosistemas en efecto la resiliencia. El objetivo de este estudio fue caracterizar y evaluar la sostenibilidad agroecológica de las fincas con cultivo de hortensias (Hydrangea macrophylla (Thunb.) Ser.) en el distrito de Chinchado, (Huánuco, Perú). Se utilizó la “Metodología Multicriterio” usando indicadores simples, claros y eficientes al objetivo planteado. Se evaluó la sostenibilidad agroecológica del agroecosistema, se utilizó índices de: calidad de suelo, salud de cultivo y del sistema en general, con un rango de valoración de 0 a 10 estableciendo un umbral (5) de integridad agroecológica. Asimismo, se describió al productor su aspecto económico, social y ambiental. Usando una muestra representativa de 51 fincas. Los resultados muestran en el aspecto social que las fincas están lideradas por el género masculino, cuentan con acceso a salud y con casi todos los servicios básicos. El ingreso económico de los productores es bueno y está en promedio con los índices oficiales. En lo ambiental, el indicador clave y más sostenible fue la incorporación de materia orgánica al suelo, hay problemas ecológicos como abandono de plásticos y reportes significativos de eventos climáticos como días de intenso calor y lluvias intensas. En la evaluación agroecológica los resultados muestran que el agroecoecositema (H. macrophylla) es ecológicamente sostenible (7.5 = índice general del sistema), de acuerdo al índice de calidad del suelo (7.9) y al índice de salud de cultivo (7.1).Climate change could have disastrous and irreversible effects for agriculture in the years to come. Consequently, it is important to promote the ecological balance of agroecosystems, in effect resilience. The objective of this study was to characterize and evaluate the agroecological sustainability of farms growing hydrangeas (Hydrangea macrophylla (Thunb.) Ser.) in the district of Chinchado, (Huánuco, Peru). The “Multi criteria Methodology” was used using simple, clear and efficient indicators for the stated objective. The agroecological sustainability of the agroecosystem was evaluated, using indices of: soil quality, crop health and the system in general, with a range of assessment from 0 to 10 establishing a threshold (5) of agroecological integrity. Likewise, the economic, social and environmental aspects of the producer were described, using a representative sample of 51 farms. The results show, in the social aspect, that the farms are led by the male gender and have access to health and almost all basic services.The economic income of the producers is good and is on average with the official indices. Environmentally, the key and most sustainable indicator was the incorporation of organic matter into the soil. There are ecological problems such as abandonment of plastics and significant reports of climatic events such as days of intense heat and heavy rain.
