Materiales y métodos: se aislaron un total de 50 cepas bacterianas, las cuales fueron caracterizadas morfológicamente. Se evaluó de manera cualitativa la capacidad de solubilización de fosfatos, la producción de sideróforos y la producción de ácido indol acético (AIA). Resultados: se logró aislar un total de 50 rizo-bacterias, de las cuales seis cepas bacterianas poseían la capacidad de solubilizar fosfatos en el medio NBRIP. Asimismo, nueve cepas mostraron producción cualitativa de sideróforos. En cuanto a la producción de AIA, 15 cepas presentaron esta capacidad. Conclusiones: este estudio permite resaltar el potencial de las bacterias rizosféricas de P. major en aplicaciones agrícolas, debido a su capacidad para solubilizar fosfatos, producir sideróforos y ácido indolacético, lo que podría optimizar el desarrollo de plantas y su resistencia a condiciones adversas. Estos resultados sugieren que estas bacterias pueden ser utilizadas en futuros estudios de biofertilización, control biológico y actividad terapéutica.

Estos resultados sugieren que estas bacterias pueden ser utilizadas en futuros estudios de biofertilización, control biológico y actividad terapéutica.The properties of medicinal plants have been intensively studied, however, the association of microorganisms with medicinal plants of high Andean origin has been scarcely investigated. Objective: to identify the plant growth- promoting characteristics of rhizobacteria isolated from the rhizosphere of Plantago major. Materials and methods: a total of 50 bacterial strains were isolated and morphologically characterized. The phosphate solubilization capacity, siderophore production, and indole acetic acid (IAA) production were qualitatively evaluated. Results: a total of 50 rhizobacteria were isolated, of which six bacterial strains had the capacity to solubilize phosphates in the NBRIP medium. Likewise, nine strains showed qualitative production of siderophores. Regarding the production of IAA, 15 strains presented this capacity. Conclusions: this study highlights the potential of P. major rhizospheric bacteria in agricultural applications, due to their ability to solubilize phosphates, produce siderophores and indoleacetic acid, which could optimize plant development and resistance to adverse conditions.
