Resultados: según la priorización de diagnósticos, deterioro del intercambio gaseoso relacionado con hipoxia evidenciado por desequilibrio ventilación-perfusión: Sat: 86%, FR: 40 X´; se logró un 70% de efectividad debido al procedimiento de intubación endotraqueal que mejoró el estado respiratorio del paciente. Conclusiones: en el diagnóstico prioritario se logró el 70% de efectividad, este resultado obedece a que el paciente mediante la intubación mejoró la saturación hasta llegar a 94%, mientras que la taquipnea se redujo hasta las 21 respiraciones por minuto.

The sample was a patient with the clinical picture of respiratory failure. The techniques were the interview with the patient's family member and the Marjory Gordon rating scale. Results: according to the prioritization of diagnoses, deterioration of gas exchange related to hypoxia evidenced by ventilation- perfusion imbalance: Sat: 86%, RF: 40 X ́; 70% effectiveness was achieved due to the endotracheal intubation procedure that improved the patient's respiratory status.
