Según los resultados el 57.63% de los pacientes presentan factores de riesgo, según la correlación de Spearman de 0.665, resultado moderado con significancia estadística de p=0.001. Asimismo, el 58.47% de los pacientes encuestados presentan hipertensión arterial. Se concluyó que existe una relación directa entre los factores de riesgos y la presencia de hipertensión arterial. Se recomendó implementar talleres donde se proporcione a los pacientes información de cómo reconocer aquellos elementos y situaciones que lo ponen riesgo de padecer o complicar la hipertensión arterial; como el consumo de alcohol, la vida sedentaria entre otros, además de proporcionarle medidas con las cuales puedan combatir y prevenir dicha situación; como una buena alimentación y ejercicio.

Quantitative type research, application level, nonexperimental correlational design, the population was 170 and the sample 118 patients, as a technique was used the survey and as an instrument was used the questionnaire validated by expert judgement and with the reliability of K of Richardson of 0795 and 0805. According to the results, 57.63% of the patients present risk factors, according to the correlation of Spearman of 0665, moderate result with statistical significance of p = 0.001. Also, 58.47% of patients surveyed have hypertension. It was concluded that there is a direct relationship between the risk factors and the presence of arterial hypertension.
