description La investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la situación actual de la Gestión del desempeño docente en la I.E. 1255 Walter Peñaloza Ramella Ugel 06, Lima 2021. La metodología de la investigación fue descriptiva, con un enfoque cualitativo, de tipo básica, no experimental y transversal. Para lo cual se realizó doce entrevistas al personal de la institución educativa, que se encontró conformado por 9 docentes con más de diez años de experiencia y 3 docentes de la actual plana jerárquica, a los cuales se le aplico una entrevista de 8 preguntas. Los resultados obtenidos indicaron que la situación actual del desempeño docente en la institución educativa, se encuentra en un nivel aceptable para cada una de las subcategorías preparación para el aprendizaje de los estudiantes, enseñanza para el aprendizaje de los estudiantes, participación en la gestión de la escuela articulada a la comunidad y desarrollo de la profesionalidad y la identidad docente; por lo cual se concluye que se debe seguir gestionando el desempeño docente en todos los integrantes de la institución para el beneficio de todos los estudiantes.
