Como resultado se identificaron tres categorías: prejuicios, manifestación de violencia hacia inmigrantes y apreciación positiva de superación. Se concluye que se percibe a los inmigrantes venezolanos como personas que cometen actos delictivos, que son violentos y peligrosos lo que provoca una sensación de inseguridad; además, se rehúsan a aceptarlos por su comportamiento aparentemente delictivo, manifestando temor a comunicarse con ellos, produciéndose situaciones conflictivas y generando tensión entre ambos grupos. No obstante, también surgieron actitudes positivas hacia los inmigrantes, percibiéndolos como individuos con deseos de salir adelante.
