Se concluyó que ambos diarios presentan tratamiento periodístico, sobre todo el diario Trome, resaltando el lado social en los ciudadanos damnificados, sin embargo, El Popular informó más y tuvo mayor relevancia en las notas informativas, teniendo más enfoque político y abarcando más entrevistas que el diario Trome. Ambos tienen tendencia a culpar a la empresa SEDAPAL sobre los daños causado en el aniego en San Juan de Lurigancho.
