En este marco, la investigación optó el diseño descriptivo transversal, donde participaron como muestra 120 turistas que visitaron la ciudad de Yurimaguas durante los meses de octubre, noviembre y diciembre del año 2017. La recolección de datos se efectuó mediante una encuesta para medir las variables biodiversidad amazónica y actividad turística y, el análisis descriptivo e inferencial de los resultados mediante el programa estadístico SPSS. Efectuado el procesamiento de la información mediante las técnicas estadísticas mencionadas se ha llegado a la conclusión que el nivel de preferencia de la biodiversidad amazónica y la actividad turística en la ciudad de Yurimaguas, provincia Alto Amazonas y región Loreto – 2018 es positivo.
