description La investigación tiene por nombre: “ANÁLISIS DE LA SEGURIDAD VIAL EN LAS PRINCIPALES VÍAS ARTERIALES DE LA CIUDAD DEL CUSCO, MEDIANTE EL MÉTODO DE INSPECCIÓN DE SEGURIDAD VIAL, DEL MANUAL DE SEGURIDAD VIAL PERUANO (MSV-2017), ENTORNO URBANO” Esta investigación busca profundizar en el tema de las Auditorías e Inspecciones de Seguridad Vial (ASV/ISV) realizadas con gran éxito en varios países del mundo como medidas preventivas para mejorar el desempeño y uso de las vías. Con tal fin, se realizó una revisión de la metodología para llevar a cabo una Inspección de Seguridad Vial (ISV) en las intersecciones con más conflicto vehicular de las vías arteriales de la ciudad del cusco, donde el caos vehicular y el no respeto a las reglas de tránsito que dan lugar al desorden en el sistema de transporte vehicular, motorizado y no motorizado, además del peatonal son un problema muy grande en los puntos de estudio. Es por ello que nuestra investigación se centra en analizar ocho intersecciones con mayor concentración de accidentes TCA (puntos negros) , las cuales por medio de fichas de inspección (listas de chequeo) se pudo evidenciar falencias en cuatro aspectos viales (características geométricas, sistemas de control vial, demanda de tránsito, condiciones de circulación). Con los resultados se pudo llegar a alternativas que nos permitirán en un futuro cercano solucionar los problemas de accidentabilidad y conflicto vehicular que tiene estas intersecciones. En conclusión con la implementación del Manual de Seguridad Vial (MSV), específicamente con la Inspección de Seguridad Vial (ISV), nos da como resultado cuadros estadísticos que nos permitirán saber la necesidad de señalizar o tener un mantenimiento constante.

To this end, a review of the methodology was carried out to carry out a Road Safety Inspection (ISV) at the intersections with more vehicular conflict of the arterial roads of the city of Cusco, where vehicular chaos and disrespect for Transit rules that give rise to disorder in the vehicular, motorized and nonmotorized transport system, in addition to the pedestrian one, are a very big problem in the study points. That is why our research is focused on analyzing eight intersections with a higher concentration of TCA accidents (black dots), which through inspection sheets (checklists) could show faults in four road aspects (geometric characteristics, systems of road control, traffic demand, traffic conditions). With the results it was possible to reach alternatives that will allow us in the near future to solve the problems of accidents and vehicular conflict that these intersections have. In conclusion with the implementation of the Road Safety Manual (MSV), specifically with the Road Safety Inspection (ISV), it results in statistical tables that will allow us to know the need to signal or have constant maintenance.
