description Muchas empresas mayoristas no usan un control adecuado de su nivel de inventario, y variables como la demanda de productos varían continuamente por la estacionalidad y las tendencias del mercado, generando costes que reducen la rentabilidad de la empresa y producen insatisfacción de los clientes con el servicio ofrecido. En este trabajo proponemos la aplicación de un método para reducir el nivel de incertidumbre y riesgo en las ventas y simular la aplicación de una política de revisión continua de inventarios. Utilizando la demanda mensual de la empresa mayorista y considerando la maximización del beneficio, se eligió el modelo de series temporales ARIMA, desarrollado a través del lenguaje de programación R, y luego modelado en el software Arena los resultados de la previsión encontrada. La relevancia del estudio es presentar herramientas de mejora de inventarios que favorezcan una gestión favorable en términos de costes de gestión de inventarios.

In this paper we propose the application of a methos to reduce the level of uncertainty and risk in sales and to simulate the implementation of a policy of continuous inventory review. Using the monthly demand of the wholesale company and considering the maximization of profit, the ARIMA time series model was chosen, developed through the R programming language, and then modeled in the Arena software the results of the forecast found.
