After the migratory experiences of the 19th century, government control over these migratory flows was sought to be strengthened. In this context, the First volume of naturalization files of the Department of Nationalization, Immigration and Immigration was produced. This important documentary piece sheds light on the institutions in charge of regulating migration processes, as well as the impact of these policies on European migrants.Durante las primeras décadas del siglo xx, se suscitaron cambios significativos tanto en los patrones de migración externa como en las políticas migratorias adoptadas por el Estado peruano. Tras las experiencias migratorias del siglo xix, se buscaba reforzar el control gubernamental sobre estos flujos migratorios. En este contexto se produjo el Primer tomo de expedientes de naturalización del Departamento de Nacionalización, Extranjería e Inmigración (Lima 1940- 1941).
