Sumario:During the first decades of the 20th century, significant changes occurred both in external migration patterns and in the migration policies adopted by the Peruvian State. After the migratory experiences of the 19th century, government control over these migratory flows was sought to be strengthened. In this context, the First volume of naturalization files of the Department of Nationalization, Immigration and Immigration was produced. This important documentary piece sheds light on the institutions in charge of regulating migration processes, as well as the impact of these policies on European migrants.
