In 1960 the Institute became the Graduate School of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, to train experts in Public Relations and Advertising, Industrial Relations and Production Engineering and Management. This training was aimed at those who had completed college and leading to diplomas of Experts. En 1957 la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, con la finalidad de investigar los problemas humanos más urgentes planteados por la realidad económica y social del país, crea el Instituto de Relaciones Humanas y Productividad, para formar expertos en Personal, en Administración, en Análisis de Costos y Mercado y en Relaciones de Trabajo. En 1960 el Instituto se convierte en Escuela Superior de Graduados de la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas, para formar expertos en Relaciones Públicas y Publicidad, en Relaciones Industriales y en Ingeniería de Producción y Gerencia.
