The research arises from the scarcity of reading habits among children at the initial level in the Jorge Álvarez Educational Unit. Students avoid the literary corner, showing disinterest in the infrastructure and books, which are often outdated or unappealing to them. It is proposed to contribute to a didactic strategy based on the use of audiobooks to promote reading. It adopts a qualitative perspective supported by the inductive method. The study involved mentor teachers, whose responses were collected through an open interview, and a content analysis was conducted. The results obtained demonstrate that teachers apply reading animation techniques. However, the "tell me a story" strategy, using audiobooks based on legends, local myths, and adaptations of traditional tales with language grounded in their ethnic context, helps to arouse greater interest and motivation in early childhood education. |

Los estudiantes evitan el rincón literario, mostrando desinterés en la infraestructura y los libros, que a menudo son obsoletos o no les resultan atractivos. Se propone contribuir con una estrategia didáctica basada en el uso de audiocuentos al fomento de la lectura. Cuenta con una perspectiva cualitativa, apoyada en el método inductivo. Se trabajó con docentes tutores, cuyas respuestas fueron recogidas a través de una entrevista abierta, y se realizó un análisis de contenido. Los resultados obtenidos demuestran que los docentes aplican técnicas de animación a la lectura. Además, la estrategia “cuéntame un cuento”; con audiocuentos fundamentados en leyendas, mitos locales y adaptaciones de cuentos tradicionales con lenguaje basado en su contexto étnico, ayuda a despertar mayor interés y motivación en los niños de educación inicial.A pesquisa surge da escassez de hábitos de leitura entre crianças no nível inicial na Unidade Educacional Jorge Álvarez. Os estudantes evitam o canto literário, demonstrando desinteresse na infraestrutura e nos livros, que frequentemente estão desatualizados ou não são atrativos para eles. Propõe-se contribuir com uma estratégia didática baseada no uso de audiocuentos para promover a leitura. Adota-se uma perspectiva qualitativa apoiada no método indutivo. O estudo envolveu professores tutores, cujas respostas foram coletadas por meio de uma entrevista aberta, e uma análise de conteúdo foi conduzida. Os resultados obtidos demonstram que os professores aplicam técnicas de animação à leitura.
