Descripción
Sumario:The research arises from the scarcity of reading habits among children at the initial level in the Jorge Álvarez Educational Unit. Students avoid the literary corner, showing disinterest in the infrastructure and books, which are often outdated or unappealing to them. It is proposed to contribute to a didactic strategy based on the use of audiobooks to promote reading. It adopts a qualitative perspective supported by the inductive method. The study involved mentor teachers, whose responses were collected through an open interview, and a content analysis was conducted. The results obtained demonstrate that teachers apply reading animation techniques. However, the "tell me a story" strategy, using audiobooks based on legends, local myths, and adaptations of traditional tales with language grounded in their ethnic context, helps to arouse greater interest and motivation in early childhood education.
