Sumario:New technologies have impacted content offered by the principal communications companies in Mexico as well as consumer habits and uses of media in society as a whole. The telecommunications industry, as well as other industries related to the media sector have even received a new name: multi-media information industry. This article presents the strategies of the business and a financial analysis of the period 2003-2008 of Grupo Televisa, the most important multimedia company in the Hispanic market of Latin American, one of the current participants in the telecommunications industry in Mexico.
