description La Escuela Naval del Perú se encarga de brindar el servicio de formación de los futuros oficiales de la Marina de Guerra del Perú, equivalente al Pregrado en educación Superior Universitaria, por un periodo de cinco años, en cumplimiento a su función, la cual está orientada a impartir educación de calidad a los Cadetes y Cadetes Aspirantes, de acuerdo a los lineamientos dispuestos por la Dirección General de Educación de la Marina, aplicando los principios de mejora continua, sustentados en seis pilares: Formación Académica, Naval, Física, Náutica, Sociocultural, Ética y moral. Dentro del plan de estudios y la malla curricular del Programa de Ciencias Marítimas Navales, se contemplan los programas de operaciones navales y talento naval, cuyo objetivo es que los Cadetes Navales obtengan los conocimientos teóricos de fundamentos navales, cinemática naval, operaciones navales, navegación plana y astronómica, maniobras de buques en simulador, operaciones marítimas y comunicaciones navales. Estos conocimientos, por su naturaleza evidentemente aplicativa, no satisfacen realmente las competencias requeridas por los Comandos de Buques donde servirán los jóvenes Oficiales. Además, no siempre son complementados con experiencias prácticas más independientes y personalizadas, como las prácticas preprofesionales que realizan a bordo de unidades de gran eslora, si no prácticas más rutinarias que permitan al cadete en formación, ejecutar lo aprendido en aulas, en un entorno que se asemeje a la realidad, con un adecuado monitoreo y control de la progresión de avance, siendo esta una embarcación propia para la formación inicial de un marino, donde vuelque su experiencia, en el medio donde se desarrolla su profesión: El mar.

Within the Studies Plan and the Curriculum Map of the Naval Maritime Sciences Program, the Programs of Naval Operations and Naval Talent are contemplated, which have as goal that the naval cadets are granted with theoretical knowledge of naval bases, naval cinematics, naval operations, plain and astronomic navigation, ship maneuvering on simulator, maritime operations and naval communications.
