La prueba de toxicidad aguda embrionaria y la cuantificación de methallotioneína se utilizaron para evaluar la toxicidad de las mezclas de cadmio y zinc metálico. En la prueba de toxicidad aguda embrionaria, 10 bivalvos adultos fueron inducidos a desovar por estimulación térmica para obtener embriones vivos y estos fueron expuestos a 25 combinaciones de mezclas de metal cadmio (Cd) - zinc (Zn). Estas combinaciones fueron basado en un diseño factorial completo en el que 5 concentraciones de Zn (0, 11, 39, 66 y 77 ug / L) y otros 5 de Cd (0, 124, 422, 721 y 845 ug / L) se combinaron. Después de 24 horas, se realizó la lectura del pozo múltiple bajo el microscopio.
