Objetivo: Determinar los factores asociados a diarrea disentérica en < 5 años según los datos de la ENDES 2023. Materiales y métodos: Estudio analítico transversal ejecutado a base de la ENDES 2023. Muestreo de tipo por conglomerados bietápico, se recolectaron los datos desde las bases de datos de los módulos de la ENDES incluyéndose solo a los registros de niños que según lo estipulado en los criterios de selección con información completa. Resultados: Se encontró que la educación de la madre en niveles de secundaria (PR=0,33) y superior no universitario (PR=0,42), el empleo del padre (PR=0,23) y el tener seguro SIS (PR=0,36) y seguro de Essalud (PR=0,19) fueron factores protectores contra la diarrea disentérica. Objective: To assess the association between the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) with all-cause mortality in Peruvian patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) attending a tertiary hospital. Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort study in adults with CKD in stages 1–5. The outcome variable was mortality and as variables of exposure to NLR and PLR. Both ratios were categorized as high with a cutoff point of 3.5 and 232.5, respectively. We carried out a Cox regression model and calculated crude and adjusted hazard ratios (HR) with their 95% confidence interval (95% CI). Results: We analyzed 343 participants with a mean age of 78.3 (± 11.9) years and 62.9% (n = 216) men. This research project describes the life stories of five indigenous Shipibo people from the Amazon who have traveled for long periods abroad or decided to stay and live there. The research describes how they have redefined their identities after the experience of mobility and having developed some cultural activities in and from Germany, Austria, France and Argentina, all within the framework of globalization. This knowledge is important because it fills gaps in the current history of migration of Amazonian peoples and explains a new phenomenon related to identity, migration and transnational culture.
