The article analyzes the Franciscan Order of Chile in the independence period, focusing on two units: the Province of the Holy Trinity and the Chillan Mission College. First, we offer a look from historiography and then give way to the voices and actions of some religious in the independence process. The Order had to collaborate with the civil authorities in a climate of war, with either economic donations or facilitating their dependencies to the army. However, another thing is to observe its position in the face of events and the way they channeled it. For this, we have consulted historical documents of the period, emanated from the friars themselves, such as patent letters, letters, circulars, and press writings. El proyecto Los Mantos está ubicado la comuna de San Felipe, Provincia de Aconcagua, Región de Valparaíso - Chile; está emplazado en el corredor de yacimientos estrato ligados del Cretácico inferior (Cerro Negro- Catemu- El Soldado), se caracteriza por estar alojado en rocas volcano sedimentarias pertenecientes a la formación Las Chilcas; debido a que esta zona tradicionalmente ha sido trabajada por mineros artesanales para la extracción de Cu y Ag, su concepción geológica y alcances de mineralización son desconocidos. Propone determinar el éxito o fracaso en las Áreas de Manejo y Explotación de Recursos Bentónicos (AMERB) en la región del Biobio, Chile, desde la perspectiva transdisciplinaria integrando las dimensiones ecológica-pesquera y humana que forman parte de este sistema. Se identificaron 51 atributos relacionados con las dimensiones ecológica-pesquera y humana (social, económica, tecnológica, institucional y ética de la gestión pesquera). Para evaluar la sostenibilidad de las AMERB seleccionadas fue mediante la técnica de evaluación rápida multidisciplinar (RAPFISH). De los resultados obtenidos en la ordenación bidimensional (“peor”; 0% - “mejor”; 100%) muestran una cierta dispersión debido a las marcadas variaciones entre las distintas AMERB en la región. Esta investigación explora diferencias por sexo y área disciplinar en Empatíamedidas a través del Interpersonal Reactivity Index desarrollado por Davis. Serealiza un estudio descriptivo-transversal con la participación de 680 estudiantesuniversitarios, distribuidos en 351 mujeres y hombres, pertenecientes a las áreasde física y matemáticas, social y humanista, química y biológica. Los resultadosmuestran diferencias de sexo en tres dimensiones del inventario con puntajesmayores para las mujeres. No se observaron diferencias en relación con el áreadisciplinar del estudiantado. Existe interacción entre sexo y área disciplinar en lasmujeres físico-matemáticas, quienes obtuvieron puntajes superiores en PersonalDistress, respecto de los demás participantes.

On February 2 and 3, 2024, the conurbation of the Province of Valparaíso, Chile, was affected by a catastrophic megafire. In this context, the article presents the results of a qualitative study with an exploratory-descriptive approach, aimed at analyzing the event from the perspective of the contribution of wildland-urban interface zones to the occurrence of the disaster. The findings show that the wildland-urban interface zones of the Valparaíso conurbation constituted a powerful fuel load that increased the territory’s vulnerability to the megafire. This vulnerability was exacerbated by high temperatures, low humidity, and strong winds, resulting in a high destructive potential that reached an unprecedented level of devastation. In regard to the espionage committed by Chile against Peru between 2004 and 2009, this article examines some characteristics of the militarism, the arms race and geopolitical expansion of Chile, after the Pacific War (1879) that separated from Peru and Bolivia the provinces of Antofagasta, Tarapacá and Arica. Henceforth, the history between Chile and Peru, was developed based on a dichotomous victor-vanquished relationship in which prevails attitudes of pride, arrogance, threats and unbridled arms race, hostility and warmongering, militarism fueled by the greedy Pinochetist military caste that still exert a masked tutelage on the Chilean democracy, and on the other hand, resentment, mistrust and fear present among Peruvians. In the most remote places in the interior of the province of Antofagasta, the ancient customs and traditions of the Atacameños have been preserved until recent times. The objective of this article was to analyze the natural environment of the pastures of El Rincón, in the province of Limarí, where a community of wild birds lives. The methodology used included field work with direct observation, application of recording sheets for the sighted individuals, creation of cartography with the ArcMap 10.1 program, taking photographs, and making illustrations of birds using Giotto pencils, block, charcoal pencil, eraser. common and moldable rubber.
